Poster in Boston Herald

A Sand Machine poster showed up in the Boston Herald today in a story in their The Edge section about concert posters.

Thanks for the heads up Tim

9/19

I had a great time Saturday night at the Conference CD release show.

Leo Blais was our surprise special guest opener and I think he gained some fans with his moving acoustic set. You can give his stuff a listen here. And he's playing MIT Friday night if you want to check that out too.

Sand Machine shirts

At the show Saturday night will be a new batch of Sand Machine shirts for sale. They are white, black, gray, and light blue. For the first time we have baby T's also. They're $10 - an x dollar value - and I would imagine even that is negotiable...

Update: Here's what they look like. Note: there are Baby Ts for women too.

Advance tix for 9/19

Advanced tickets are available for $8 for the CD release show at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/82069. They will be $10 at the door that night. A sell-out is possible for this show so capitalizing on the advanced option will guarantee that you get in. Besides the $2 difference.

CDBaby

Conference is now available for sale at CDBaby here. There's a preview feature on that page that you may want to check out. It walks through the album giving 15-20 secs of each track. Pretty cool.

The CD will still be free at shows and any other way you might catch up to us though.

Is He Dead?

Another of our songs has been used in a movie. "Who Will Ride?" is the opening and exiting credit.

TT's

TT's last night was a great time. Going in there was possibly somewhat lower expectations because we haven't played on a weekday in quite a while. But it didn't feel that way at all. A very nice and into it turnout and also a quality bill. To play with The Franklin Kite or the Meadowlarks again is an agreeable proposition. And we should definitely hook up again with Science, an offspring of the band The Gulf - compelling songs very well arranged. Thanks to Adam of Science for inviting us. In truth it was our best time playing at TT's ever I felt.

lyrics

A number of people have remarked on the lack of lyrics on the site. Starting today we're entering them on the music pages. Select the album in question and then you'll see a lyrics link under a pretty good chunk of the tracks. Soon it will be all of them. Within the lyrics popup, if you select the title it will take you to a screen at which you can comment on those lyrics if you're so inclined.

back to on

After the Blue Mermaid show, which was a great time as usual (thanks to everyone that came out. I hear some pics from it are in the offing), I headed to Old Orchard Beach for a week. While it's no cultural mecca and therefore not for those caught up in such considerations, the beach is great and the weather was incredible all week. And I have a lot of friends and relatives that go up for the week too. Was extremely relaxing.

very good

Check out this pic submitted to our facebook riffing on "Call Me Elvis Now" off of Conference. You can listen or download the song here.
