I've walked by this diner I don't know how many times. Never knew there was a room in back... and it's a nice room. I guess they serve their ham and eggs with a side of rock and roll.

It has the "red room with mirrors" feel like the Lizard, but with much more room and more seating (not taking anything away from our beloved Lizard of course). The bands play at floor level in the corner facing both the entrance and separate bar section.

Thanks to Kingsley Flood for inviting us to play on Saturday. They are a great rockabilly/rock/country band with tremendous energy. Guitars, bass, drums, fiddle and vocals all over the place. Even if you don't have a country bone in you, you will like Kingsley Flood.

We took the stage early - before 11:00 - and improvised our way in with "I Don't Want No Other Baby" which set a nice tone. The set was a blend of songs from older and newer records with "This Time the Angels Walk the Line" and a cover of "Chains" (which seemed to go over well) thrown in. Here's the run down for those keeping track at home:

Sorry to those that were in Hartford watching Pearl Jam. You missed a good show.

We'd love to get back into Rosebud some time soon, perhaps in the fall. Certainly would love to play with Kingsley Flood again, wherever.
