Sand Machine Radio (and "It's Your Turn")

From talking to some folks recently, apparently less people know about Sand Machine radio than I thought. It's that set of light green headphones in the upper right corner of this website. Clicking it opens a browser window that plays (if you click it to) through a long songlist on shuffle. The list is all the tracks from our last 3 albums and 2 EPs, selected songs from our first album, some live tracks, bootleg recordings, and recordings from our rehearsal space. The shuffle makes tracks from different eras play next to each other in a cool way.

If you're so inclined you can scroll all the way down to the bottom on Sand Machine radio and you'll find the most recent addition to the list. It's actually not new, just new to the radio. It's a fun rendition of a not terribly serious song called "It's Your Turn (to Turn Out the Lights Tonight)" from New Year's Eve, 2007. It was right after midnight, the first minutes of what was being dubbed "The Ocho" (2008) that night. Note a very interpretative start to a guitar solo by Jeremy.

From there, shuffle away...

"You did that"

"Well you say that I was reading
But I really was not
You just left the light on
I was not reading, I don't know what you're talking about
But nice try!
But I know that it's your turn to turn out the light tonight..." - and the Bass guitar walks out of the room
