The Woes of Edgar James
Edgar James had a beautiful wife,
But she left him for the man at number 20.
Turns out 20 was right next door to him,
Now his wife borrows his cream and sugar.

They overcome the man.
Not the man in capital letters,
But the man Edgar James
Oh the woes of Edgar James,
He doesn’t know how they began,
But he knows how they will end,
Just not the time or the place.
He decided to end his life,
But he did not have the guts to do it.
He put a contract out on his own life,
Told the hitman to decide the day and way.
It could be coming soon,
Maybe Tuesday at noon,
It could be coming soon.
Edgar James had no way of knowing,
That the hitman had a similar contract.
He was gunned down in front of KFC.
Edgar smiled when he read the paper.
